Freshman Admission to an Undergraduate Major

High school students may apply to enter as a freshman in the Department of Bioengineering in to graduate with a B.S. in Bioengineering, Bioengineering: Biotechnology, Bioengineering: Biosystems or Bioengineering: Bioinformatics.  Effective Fall 2014, as all four of these majors are "impacted," students must either be directly admitted from high school, or may have the option of applying to one of the four "impacted" majors in the fall quarter of their sophomore year, upon completion of 9 specific screening courses.  (Go to undergrad-majors for more information concerning "impacted status" and the 9 required screeningcourses.)
