Seminars

The Department of Bioengineering has an active seminar program, which features outstanding speakers from other institutions and from the UCSD campus. The seminars are very well attended and serve to stimulate collaborations among scientists and interactions between the University and industry. Regular workshops on various research topics are organized by the Whitaker Institute of Biomedical Engineering.

There are two weekly seminars held throughout the academic year and they are an integral part of academic life in our department:
BENG 281, Seminar in Bioengineering, is held on Fridays from 2:00-2:50 p.m. in Fung Auditorium (F,W,SP)
BENG 282, Seminar: Faculty Research, is held on Wednesdays from 1-1:50 p.m. in Fung Auditorium (F,W)

The schedule of speakers is posted at the beginning of every quarter. Be sure to enroll for both seminars every quarter they are offered.
